Stands the test of time

Review by LSJ

I used this ammo many years ago, was glad to find it again. Compared to the latest and greatest 9mm duty / defense ammo, this is the best value for the price and still performs well.

Great ammo at a GREAT price

Review by Mike

Great ammo - hard hitting, accurate, feeds well and has a long track record of effectiveness when it matters the most. Newer designs might offer better performance after defeating glass or other barriers, but for strictly civilian self-defense situations, this stuff is primo. Spend more if you'd like, but this is my 'go-to' 9mm ammunition for serious uses.

Federal Classic 9mm +P+

Review by Chris Sexton

This Product can be hard to find but is a timless classic that still holds it own with modern day ammo and in some cases is better. 50 Round Boxes make it a great deal.

If you are wondering if this round still stands up to today's standards. Here are two videos of this ammo being tested, in two different types of ballistic gel. These are not my video's, or my own personal reviews, just sharing the results.

My favorite 9mm load

Review by Rosie

The Federal 9BPLE has been my favorite 9mm load since I was first issued it. The recoil is very manageable and my Glock 19 gobbles the +p+ with ease. Streicher's price of $19.00 for the 50 round box allows the shooter to practice with what they carry. Most duty loads are too pricey to also train with, the 9BPLE is the exception.

great round/great price

Review by Just an old cop

These are not for everyone/every gun. The +P+, are great for consistent expansion leaving a 4" barrel at almost 1400 fps. The only EDC in my guns.

Devistating jhp round

Review by gma

Had to dispatch an agressive pitbull in my neighborhood that was charging my youngest daughter. Was carrying springfield xdm 4.5 in barrel. Round struck dog in breast plate. Dog yelped and ran about 10 feet and collapsed and died. Animal control couldnt believe that it only took one shot from a 9mm round.

It's all about what you want it to do...

Review by J

This is a great personal defense round. It has the best by percentage, and raw size, record of one shot stops out of anything in 9mm. Because of it's low mass and high velocity, it breaks up quickly in targets, lowering pass through risk and the danger of the objects if they do make it through.

Solid performer.

Review by Trainer8119

This was our dept. duty load in the 90's before we went to .40's. It was a good performer then. Accurate, high velocity load. It did have a significant low light flash signature.

A True Classic That Still Works!

Review by SammColt45

I have used this ammo for years. It has been around for at least 40 years, and it was the best 9mm ammo available for a long time. It still holds its own with anything more modern. The recoil is quite manageable for +P+ ammo, primarily due to its relatively light 115 grain bullet weight. I even shoot it in my Sig P938 without difficulty, and that is about as tiny as a 9mm pistol can get.

9BPLE

Review by Gunwriter

This is consistently THE most accurate +P+ ammunition in every 9mm pistol I have fired it in, from CZ's to Glocks. In addition, the muzzle blast and flash are no bigger and brighter than standard 9mm loads. Velocities are consistently 1250-1300 feet per second in duty length barrels. An outstanding product.

FC-9BPLE

Review by CHIEF15C

This round has been a consistent 1-2 shot man-stopper. Look at some of the older PD/shooting reports from the initial 9mm craze of the late '80's and 1990's. This round performs well and functions well in most Semi auto's. My PD issued these in the late 1980's and they performed well. I still like to carry them in all of my 9mm pistols- G19,G26 and Kahr PM9. Its not hard on the pistols and do

Best all around choice for most people

Review by Conwict

-Excellent cost, lets you run 150-200 rounds for practice through your gun to ensure function before carrying Some people confuse it with HYDRA SHOK, this is HI SHOK (9BPLE). It has been around for TWENTY, not THIRTY, years, and has an impeccable record.

Powerful, and cheap...

Review by Brad L.

Absolutely powerful, leaves a devestating wound characteristic of high speed and power. Does suffer from the infamous core/jacket seperation due to the high speeds, but doesnt inhibit the bullets performance through barriers, usually only have had this problem when shooting bare gel or water, but not when it went through barriers. This is my carry round when i am not using the HSTs, or when the

Bullets on a budget...

Review by Mitchell

It's reliable, accurate and priced so you can run several hundred round through a weapon to insure function, and practice with what you carry without going broke. It's not the most advanced thing on the market. While humans haven't exactly evolved in 30 years...a lot of newer and better bullets floating around make this bullet...not antiquated, exactly...let's just say if you have more financial
