| Pros: |
Reliable, accurate, good penetration with awesome expansion and great penetration through hard objects like plywood. Affordable price for premium ammunition that actually works in most all situations. |
| Cons: |
Federal Cartridge tries to limit this ammo to law enforcement. For what reason I do not know. These rounds are dependable, work like hollow points are designed to work and are ballistically superior to most rounds out there. These should be more available to the civilian market. |

| Pros: |
Extremely consistent velocities and Good accuracy (2.25" @ 20yds which is pretty good in this gun). I use this out of my Kimber Custom. Functions flawlessly. One of the best ammo choices out there. |
| Cons: |
Hard to get at times. By a year's worth and then cycle it out as necessary. |

This stuff is my first choice out of my 1911! |

| Pros: |
While I am not a police officer and have not used it in the field it performed exceptionaly well in a heavy clothing test expanding consistantly to .84 caliber through 4 layers of heavy jeans and and 4 blocks of ballistic clay. |
| Cons: |
none |
| Comments: |
The HST is actualy $20 cheaper for a case of 1000 then the hydroshock, my uncles current duty round. |

| Pros: |
It performs very well in my 1911 (5") and my Taurus 24/7 (4"). It expands an average of .92" (I have pictures!). It has a normal recoil of a 230gr .45ACP ammo and it is super accurate. |
| Cons: |
Nothing wrong with it other than it is so hard to get, Federal has a huge back order on this ammunition. |
| Comments: |
I carry this in 9mm and .45ACP, and I recommend this ammo to all my students. (krg.instructor@hotmail.com) if you want to see pictures! |

| Pros: |
It works very well in any of my .45 handguns, 4" or 5". It expand to a minimun of .89" every time. The recoil is normal of a 230gr, it is very accurate 1/2" @ 10yds, 1.92" @ 25yds. out of a 1911 5". .It expanded to .92" out of my 24/7 4" and still penetrated as deep as any other premiun JHP. You would not regret it. |
| Cons: |
There are not readily accesable and they are in back order. The price, although cheap in comparasion to other 50rds pack, it is getting more expensive by the day. |

| Pros: |
Sure functioning in my 5" Kimber. Accurate and powerful. I believe this to be the most effective round available for your .45 acp sidearm. Why settle for anything else? |
| Cons: |
None. I've had absolutely no problems with this ammo. |
| Comments: |
This is the only ammo that I will carry in my sidearm. I don't believe that there is a more effective round out there for law enforcement. |
